Roundup of the weeks news

Killymoon Rangers continued the build up to their first season in the IFA Championship when they travelled to Omagh Utd last Saturday and drew one each. The management were pleased with the overall performance in only the team's second outing of the season but are still assessing the playing staff and options going forward. Joint Manager, Michael Wilson, commented, " Obviously we need to improve over the next couple of weeks before the start of the season but we are building a squad and still looking at a number of new faces at this stage. We will need a quality squad to choose from as we have 32 league matches next season, not to mention the various cup matches also."

Killymoon Reserves
Killymoon Reserves are now under new management. Paul Coyle and George Dardis have been appointed to take charge of a promising young squad of players for the season ahead. Both men have extensive coaching experience and it is hoped that they can build on previous seasons' improving performances. They kicked off their tenure last Saturday with an excellent draw against an Ardstraw side who are making the move into Intermediate football next season. All at the Club wish Paul and "Junior" well in their new post.

Pre-season matches
Rangers continued their pre-season schedule this week. On Tuesday night they played the Tyrone Milk Cup side at MUSA and this Saturday make the long journey to play in a four team tournament organised by Bryansburn Rangers. Two matches in one day will certainly test the players' fitness levels. Then on Monday 28th July, Rangers entertain Churchill at MUSA (Kick-off 8pm) in their final build up match before the league opener on 2nd August.
The Reserves have another match lined up for Tuesday 29th July when they travel to Magherafelt Reds and it is also hoped to have a home match this Saturday with the opposition still to be finalised.

Training
The training schedule for the next two weeks is as follows:- Thursday 24th July (Synthetic pitch) starting at 8pm sharp, Thursday 31st July (Synthetic pitch) 8pm, Monday 4th July (Red surface) 8pm and Thursday 7th July (Synthetic pitch) 8pm.
A committee meeting will be held in the Royal Hotel on Thursday 31st July following that night's training session. All members are asked to attend.

IFA Championship
The IFA Championship will kick-off on Saturday 2nd August when Killymoon entertain Tobermore United at MUSA. Then on Tuesday 5th August Killymoon travel to Ballinamallard- this match taking place at Armagh City's ground.

Admission Prices
Admission to all sixteen home macthes in the IFA Championship wil be £5 for adults, £3 for senior citizens with Under 16s free.
Admission to cup matches will be decided on an individual match basis. An ideal way to cut the cost of spectating would be to purchase the new Killymoon Rangers season tickets which are priced at £50 for an adult and £30 for senior citizens. These entitle the holders to admission to all home league and cup matches during the season representing a substantial saving over the course of the season. Season tickets are now available from Kenneth Charles and Son, William Street, Cookstown.

Fund-raising
Tickets are now available for the Lucky 4 Draw which will be held on 2nd September with the jackpot standing at £850. This will be the final draw of this kind as it is being replaced with an exciting new draw in September. This means that the jackpot must be won. Anyone matching four numbers will win or share the jackpot. If no-one matches four numbers, then anyone matching three numbers will win or share the jackpot. Tickets are available from any Club member.

Thanks to the "WAGS" committee for their recent fundraising raffle. The prize of a luxury hamper was won by Stacey Cummings.
