After a run of poor results the Killymoon players showed true character with a hard fought win, on an excellent pitch, at Dollingstown. Despite the Killymoon managers making an number of changes to the team it didn't take long before the visitors took the lead. A strong run from Francisco Gomes caused a problem in the heart of the Dollingstown defence and the ball broke to Cameron Stewart, who laid it off to an inrushing David McMullan who placed the ball into an empty net. Most of the chances in the first half came from set plays with the home side's best effort requiring keeper Gareth Maguire to knock the ball onto the post before gathering it to ensure the visitors went into the break in front.

The second half started poorly for the visitors when slack marking enabled the home side to draw level. The match started to become more physical with both teams working hard and as with the first half most of the chances came from set pieces and this is how Killymoon got the winner 10 minutes from the end. A corner from Stephen Purvis missed Conal Kilpatrick at the front post but Gomes made no mistake as he got to the ball first to guide his header into the net. Despite some pressure at the end Killymoon were able to hold out to record an important victory and give the club an important boost after some disheartening defeats.
