On Saturday Killymoon Rangers Reserves secured their biggest league win of the season with a four goal demolition of Seapatrick at Dromore Leisure Centre, completing a sequence of two wins and three draws in their last five games.

With Daryll Flanagan dropping to the second string for much needed minutes on the pitch and the return of Brian Smith and Killymoon stalwart Eddie Hudson, Killymoon started brightly led by the magnificent Adrian Ferson in the heart of defence. In the opening few minutes of the game Killymoon went for the jugular as they peppered the Seapatrick goalmouth from a sequence of early corners. This early pressure left Seapatrick shell-shocked as they expected an easy three points after some good recent results which had pushed them into the top four of the table. In the ninth minute Daryl Flanagan showed his first team pedigree as he ghosted in to nonchalantly stroke home the opener from fifteen yards after good work by Ryan Glasgow and Peter Scott. Sloan should have made it two after twenty minutes after good work between him and Scott provided an opening. Unfortunately he mis-hit his shot when a second looked a certainty, the Seapatrick keeper saving easily. Scott then toe-poked a shot towards the corner of the Seapatrick goal only to see their keeper scramble the ball away with his feet at the last second. With Ryan Glasgow and Daryl Flanagan dominating Seapatrick's midfield Killymoon looked to have control of the game. The magnificent back four of Hudson, Ferson, Smith and Devlin made sure that Seapatrick's goal chances where at a premium in front of keeper Steven McKernan.

After a half time team talk by co-manager Alan Fluke the Reserves came out fired up to try and finish the game off as soon as possible. A sweeping movement involving Flanagan, Campbell and Scott resulted in Peter Sloan heading powerfully home from twelve yards for Killymoon's second on the hour mark, his first league goal for the club. Seapatrick threw caution to the wind and tried to retrieve something from a game which was slipping away from them. Ferson and Hudson in particular were outstanding clearing several times when Seapatrick threatened Mckernan's goal. Scott's hard work throughout the game was rewarded when he latched unto a through ball from Ryan Glasgow out sprinting the Seapatrick central defender to drill the ball homewards. Mustafa Kaplan replaced young Sloan up front and made an immediate impact. Scott broke the offside trap with only the keeper to beat on eighty minutes. The Seapatrick keeper saved well but Kaplan followed up and buried the rebound, his first goal for the club. McCormack then replaced Flanagan in the last ten as Killymoon strolled to a fantastic victory.

Managers Fluke and Warwick couldn't compliment their players enough on the professionalism, attitude, and togetherness they had shown throughout the ninety minutes. Alan Fluke commented, 'They did the simple things right throughout the game, cut out the silly errors at the back to keep a clean sheet, and all three strikers recorded a goal against one of the top sides in Mid-Ulster Reserve Division One, job well done!'.

Unfortunately the Reserves have no game for the next fortnight due to the International match next Saturday and Steven McElhatton's wedding the following Saturday. The players and management wish Steven all the best on his big day.
